Recipe for a local favourite
This steamed minced pork with egg dish is a humble traditional favourite on our dining table. Here, we have adapted it to suit our furry ones.
Ingredients:
500g minced lean pork
1 small carrot
5-6 pieces of spinach leaves
3 eggs
Method:
1. Grate carrot and finely chop spinach leaves
2. Separate the egg yolk from egg whites for 2 eggs. Keep the 2 egg yolks aside
3. Beat 1 egg with the rest of the egg whites
4. In a large bowl, add in the minced pork, carrot, spinach and egg mixture and mix well
5. Pour pork mixture in a glass or stainless steel bowl suitable for steaming
6. Steam on medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until pork is cooked
7. Beat the 2 egg yolks, pour over the pork mince and steam for another 3-5 minutes until the egg is set
8. Cool before serving
